Who We Are

AKA was built on a simple idea: every person in every seat should have a great experience. That drives everything we do — system design, speaker placement, show-day management. We own our gear, maintain it to touring spec, and deploy it ourselves.

Based at 6232 Beach St in Denver, AKA carries PK Sound line arrays, Allen & Heath digital consoles, Shure wireless, Chauvet Professional intelligent lighting, Danley Sound Labs monitors, and grandMA3 control. PK Sound rental house — one of the first in the Denver market.

Andrew Kirschman — Founder & Principal Engineer

Andrew Kirschman is the owner, FOH engineer, and systems designer behind AKA Event Productions. Over 13 years in professional audio engineering, with a career defined by technical precision and creative ambition.

His background includes four seasons as Head Engineer at the Strand Theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana — a historic performing arts venue where he managed audio for Broadway productions, touring concerts, and large-scale events. He oversaw system processing and distributed audio infrastructure, handling everything from FOH mixing to accessibility systems.

Andrew has also served as an audio engineer at Live Nation venues across the Denver metro and has worked alongside some of the largest names in electronic music and live events.

The Audiosphere — Red Rocks, 2025

In April 2025, AKA Event Productions deployed the Audiosphere at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in collaboration with d&b Audiotechnik and Brown Note Productions — North America’s first-ever 360-degree immersive sound experience at the iconic venue. Developed alongside electronic artist Mersiv, the Audiosphere placed an object-based surround sound system around the entire audience — from the front row to the top of the amphitheatre.

Covered by 303 Magazine, Denver Westword, FOX31 Denver, EDM.com, and numerous music publications. The Audiosphere has since expanded into a national tour, bringing immersive surround to handpicked venues across the country.

The Audiosphere represents the core of what AKA does: pushing the boundaries of live production while delivering a technically flawless experience for every person in the audience.
